There is no exact timeframe for the completion of a kitchen renovation, as several factors play a role in determining how long the project will take. From the moment you decide on materials, you should plan for the completion date to be several weeks in the future. The extent of the renovation, as well as the availability of the materials you choose and the current workload of your contractor, will all play a role in how long the project will require for completion. Once all the materials are ready, and demolition is done, the installation process can usually be completed in a couple weeks.

Whether or not you are able to use your kitchen while it’s being remodeled depends on the scope of activities. If you’re only working on part of the room, you may be able to utilize the remaining area throughout the whole process – provided safety is not a concern. On the other hand, a more thorough home improvement could freeze the room’s functionality.

But there are plenty of ways to make it through without relying on fast food and prepackaged snacks. Setting up a temporary kitchen, for example, is a brilliant survival strategy. To do this, simply find a room that is safe from the dust cloud of construction, taking essential ingredients and cooking tools with you. Store refrigerator items in a cooler just before preparing the meal, and use a microwave or camping stove to cook. On nice days, you could also try grilling food outside.

1. The Design Process – The first step in the kitchen remodel process is to help you plan your ideal kitchen. Often this will include a hands-on session with our designer where you can see, touch, and select the various countertop and cabinet materials that are best for you.
2. Scope of Work & Work Agreement – Once we have designed a kitchen that you love, we will write out a scope of work that details everything involved in making that kitchen a reality. This includes the price of your new kitchen, our start date, and what our timeframe is to complete the job.
3. Ordering the Materials – After we have agreed upon the work, it’s time for us to order the materials we need to complete your custom kitchen remodel. We order the custom cabinets, countertops, backsplash, or flooring that you selected in the design process.
4. Doing the Work – Once we have the materials we need, we will begin your kitchen remodel! Depending on the complexity of your kitchen remodel project, this can take anywhere from 1 to 2 days up to 30 to 45 days.
5. Cleanup and Final Touches – Once your remodel is complete, we will remove all of our tools and equipment and clean up the kitchen area, leaving you to enjoy the kitchen of your dreams!
